“Well, I remember when another woman lived there. She was quite odd, but I never got the feeling the house was haunted.”

I was intrigued by this. “What happened to this woman?”

“Well, honestly I don’t know. One day she just disappeared and has not been heard from since. But while she was here, she lived her life to the fullest, and like all of us, she was gone quicker than she should have been.”

…I took comfort in that. I was also comforted when he offered to come right away. He took the lead and walked into the house. I remained outside, hoping he would find a logical explanation to the phenomena that had occurred.

As I turned to look at some children riding their bikes down the street, the front door slammed shut. I grabbed the door handle, but could not get the door to open. I could do nothing but wait.

After a bit, he came down and said nothing as he stormed off to his house. I was unsure what to make of his behavior, but he returned carrying wood, nails, and a hammer.

He stormed into the house and sealed the doors. Afterwards he encouraged me to leave, but where was I to go? All of my money was in this property.

I insisted that I would be fine. I said my goodbye’s then entered the house. As I did, there was something different here. I felt needed. From that point on everything seemed to be fine.”
